Let gratitude lift you
There’s a very strong link between mindfulness and gratitude. Choosing to be deeply mindful of the good things in our lives brings a positive focus—and many mental health benefits—into our lives.
This week, start a gratitude journal. Buy yourself a beautiful book of blank pages – one that appeals to you and invites you to write in it. Every night, before you go to bed, write a list of five things you are grateful for. The list can include small things – receiving a compliment, hearing a favourite song on the radio, watching a beautiful sunset or the scent of your favourite flowers or herbs. You can also include big things – like your family or friends, your health and your comfortable home.
